Turner has worked as a Development and Production Executive for over fifteen years. Having started out in the Acquisition and Development departments of October Films and USA Films (both subsidiaries of Universal), he then became the Vice President of Acquisitions and Production heading up the New York office of United Artists, a subsidiary of MGM. During this time, Turner was involved in the production and distribution of such films as: Steven Soderbergh's TRAFFIC, Robert Altman's GOSFORD PARK, Todd Haynes' FAR FROM HEAVEN, Wong Kar Wai's IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, Mike Leigh’s TOPSY TURVY, Mira Nair's MONSOON WEDDING and the Coen Brothers’ THE MAN WHO WASN’T THERE.Turner was specifically involved in the acquisition of the controversial Golden Globe winning OSAMA, Thomas Vinterberg’s THE CELEBRATION, Michael Moore’s BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE and the cult hits BUBBA HO-TEP and cult hit WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER. On behalf of UA, he oversaw the development and production of Terry George's HOTEL RWANDA and Bennett Miller's CAPOTE. Sonja is an up and coming playwright and screenwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. She has studied screenwriting with Jason Greiff and currently studies playwriting at Manhattan Theatre Club. She began workshoping the Ovum script under the mentorship of Padraic Lillis (Director: SHE LOVES ME, Broadway, RONNIE'S MASK, Steppenwolf) at the prestigious LAByrinth Theater Company, led by Artistic Directors Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Academy Award, CAPOTE), Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell and Yul Vazquez. In 2012, Sonja was chosen out of more than 700 applicants to be one of sixteen young artists to be part of LABryinth Theatre's Emerging Artist Ensemble Workshop (which focuses on writers & directors producing their own work.) Additionally, Sonja is co-writing the stage play CICADA STOP MOTION with her theatre company Black Light Lab. The site specific show will open in September in Prospect Park. Matt Ott is a director and producer based in New York City. He graduated with a B.F.A in film at UW-Milwaukee. He has produced and directed the TV series MEDIOCRACY. After years of working on major film and television sets in Chicago, Matt recently moved to NYC when his TV series UNSCRIPTED (produced through Upright Citizen’s Brigade) which recently garnered the interest of both TBS and FOX and is currently being optioned.
